Kathryn Loesser-Casey, Professor of Biology, is a physiologist who received her doctoral degree from Rutgers University for her study of the cytoskeleton in adrenal hormone synthesis. Her post-doctoral studies of skeletal and cardiac muscle physiology were conducted at the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Loesser-Casey's current research interests include the role of vitamins and cytokines in atheroscerosis.Kathy teaches Human Anatomy (Biol 384), Human Physiology (Biol 385), Exercise Physiology (Biol 111), Endocrinology (Biol 111), and Nutrition (Biol 204).
