Rosemary Barra, Professor of Biology, received her doctoral degree at Rutgers University for her study of the effects of diabetes on liver regeneration. Dr. Barra's current research interests include the regulation of the cell cycle and apoptosis, effects of chemotherapeutic drugs on cell viability, and factors that cause DNA damage. Rosemary teaches General Genetics (Biol 341), Laboratory Techniques (Biol 351), Immunology (Biol 391), and Biology of Cancer (Biol 441). Currently, Dr. Barra is the Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty.
